MSC Cruises picks Piraeus as a homeport for first time

MSC Cruises will designate Piraeus as its east Mediterranean homeport for the MSC Lirica in the upcoming holiday season.

The state-of-the-art vessel will offer a new seven-stayover cruise scheduled on separate 28 journeys between April 2022 and October 2023, beginning from Piraeus and with stops in Kusadasi, Turkey; Haifa, Israel; Limassol, Cyprus; and to the iconic Greek isles of Rhodes and Santorini, before heading back to Piraeus.

Holiday-makers may board the cruise ship for the first time in Piraeus, or in Kusadasi, Haifa and Limassol.

Crete will be on the itinerary for the four 11-day cruises scheduled for this month, a schedule that began last month, November.

MSC Lirica, similar to all MSC Cruises vessels, is open only to visitors that are fully vaccinated for the Covid-19 virus.

Another three MSC vessels plying routes in the east Mediterranean, the MSC Armonia, the MSC Fantasia and the MSC Musica, will also include stopovers at Greek destinations.

The MSC Lirica offers a special cruise experience based on the triptych of elegance, comfort and hospitality, offering guests 992 spacious cabins and leisure spaces, as well as spectacular sea views from practically all levels.
